Description
The final version of my Gaia. This started out as a figurative study from a live model, but after the sessions ended, I found the pose and depiction wanting, so I moved the limbs and began to carve. This is what manifested. While no longer a technically accurate figure study, the DA submission gods determined I must place her here.
The countenance was to be that of an ageless and ancient being--one of stone and earth, eroding yet teeming with life and patterns of energy, for all things are contained within the body that is Her.
