Sooooo

Today was interestingly, utterly swampedly busy. I had one who is most precious to me go into full-meltdown mode, almost to the point of scaring me. I start off when barraged with such energy as the healer, but then when they stubbornly refuse to see reality and continue to freak out to the point of hyperventilating I get cranky. This is mostly out of my fear for them, and powerlessness at the situation, and I realize that it is certainly not the best response. Need to work on that. In retrospect, I'm suspecting low blood sugar and proximity to the full moon (yesterday) as adding to the over-the-top quality of the meltdown.

So my loaded question of last journal had a reason behind it. I am not--as many might suspect--thinking of joining a gallery, but starting a very small one myself. The other folks in my artists group were behind the idea but unable to commit financially, so I anteed (sp?) up for the space. Yeah, like I NEED more commitments!

Two Ravens Gallery opens or will at least start moving stuff in February 1st. I am excited, but have some trepidations. Kinda like that theres..

In other news, my latest tribal bellydance class is full to beyond the rafters. Tonite was the second week, and my gast is flabbered at the class size--at least compared to my usual semesters, anyway.

Unfortunately the college only pays me up to 10 students--a "full" class--and would have me prorate for under 10. I think I'm getting the shaft, since they even cut the free tuition we were getting to 7 credits per semester. Considering I have enough students for two classes plus, but not enough time to schedule two classes, methinks I'm getting the royal shaft, so to speak. And yes, what I DO get is toward the "doodly squat" end of the salary spectrum...

Ah well--it's too damn late to be complaining, especially when I have to get up and go to WORK work in the AM. It's not like I bellydance for the money, anyway--but after 3 friggin' years you think I'd be able to get some damn MIRRORS so my students could actually SEE what the HEL they were DOING...Meh--never mind. Ms. J--over and OUT...
